JAIIB 2022

Every year in the months of May and November, the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance conducts an examination named JAIIB. It is one of the flagship courses which are offered by the institute. 

This course consists of three papers for the upcoming June 2022 Exam. The name of the papers is as follows: 

1. PPB: Principles & Practices of Banking 
2. AFB: Accounting & Finance for Bankers 
3. LRAB: Legal & Regulatory Aspects of Banking 

 

DB&F: While JAIIB is conducted for the bankers, there is an exam named DBF (diploma in Banking and Finance) which has the same syllabus as that of JAIIB, conducted for non-bankers. If someone plans to join a bank in the near future, we can clear this course. The main benefit of clearing whether it’s JAIIB 2022 or 2022 DBF Exam is that one gets increment in advance of one year.

JAIIB 2022 | IIBF

The objective of JAIIB course is to instill the basic knowledge of banking and financial services, accountancy, customer relations and legal aspects which are very much needed to carry out the daily operations of banking. 

Its 1st paper (PPB) talks about the financial system which is working in India and about how the Indian banks are involved in the system whether it’s to provide banking services or support services. 

Through the 2nd paper (AFB) , it is clear that the institute wants its junior Associates to know about the various calculations whether it’s of interest, annuity, YTM or depreciation. Along with the calculations it is also expected that the candidates know about the basics of bookkeeping and accountancy as well.

The JAIIB’s 3rd paper (LRAB) is all about the regulations and compliances related to mergers and acquisitions, reforms in laws as well as the legal aspects related to different types of loans, charges, schemes etc.

This is only a brief of what is covered in the syllabus of June JAIIB 2022 Exam.
